About a month ago, the Seeds to Greens program at Farm Lab came to a fulfilling close as the Junior and Advanced Elementary students of Shriram Montessori School harvested the lush greens they had lovingly grown. Today, the children were joyfully awarded their “Seeds to Greens” Participation Certificates, a wonderful reminder of their journey from sowing seeds to reaping their harvest.

The program began with eager young learners stepping onto the farm to experience nature with their own hands. They learned how to prepare soil, sow seeds, and care for their plants with patience and curiosity. Week after week, they watered, weeded, and observed how sunlight, soil, and care help life grow. Along the way, they discovered the importance of compost, observed earthworms at work, and developed a new appreciation for the cycles of nature.

When harvest day arrived, excitement filled the air. The children proudly picked their own leafy greens—fresh, healthy, and grown by their own hands. The experience was not just about farming but about understanding the values of patience, responsibility, and teamwork.

Today’s certificate distribution marked the completion of that meaningful journey. Each child received a “Seeds to Greens” certificate as a celebration of their effort and connection with the earth. Their faces lit up with pride and joy as they looked back on the fun and learning that shaped their experience.
